Healing, Deception, Democracy explores the intertwining of knowledge, spirituality, manipulation and democratic processes of our society. In doing so, the piece looks at current events such as the pandemic, changes in politics and our social society. Should we heal ourselves and our democracy? Does knowledge equal healing? Do we need a modern spirituality, an autocratic state or simply the right medicine?

A collection of dance, music, text and video, the Tokyo-born choreographer Chikako Kaido, together with three performers, the video artist Hanna Koch and the double bass player Johannes Nebel, showing their answers and finding above all absurd, strange inner impulses of our society.
