Antonio Stella was born in 1980. He first trained as an actor at the Schauspielhaus Palermo, then studied at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen. During this time he worked on “Lakrimoza” by Andrea Catania and “Globalost Sunday” by Samir Akika, among others. He also took part in numerous festival competitions. As a freelance dancer and performer, Stella has worked on “Revolver” by VA Wölfl, “L.H.F.A.” by Lia Haraki (Dresden Tanzherbst, Cyprus), “Schöne Neue Welt” (Düsseldorf Junges Schauspielhaus) as well as “Me & myMum” and “Where the streets have no name” by Samir Akika, among others. He has also been engaged as a dance teacher at tanzhaus nrw, Düsseldorf. Since the 2012/13 season Antonio Stella has been a permanent member of the Theater Bremen and has worked there with Samir Akika, Adrienn Hód, Frederik Rohn, Máté Mészáros and kainkollektiv, among others.
